Guest guest
Actually, glad yer not my mum! She's a bit more liberal!

I got into ashtanga for purely aesthetic reasons - I wanted a body like madonna... I wasn't initially aware that there was anything spiritual about it. Now I know. I've had such amazing and occasionally disturbing feelings/sensations during relaxation (bursting into tears, trance like states, body flooded with colours, breathaking visions, bla bla bla). Now, I can get away with talking about all this malarky with me mates, cos they know I'm a down to earth party girl and they like the fact that yoga makes me much less hyper. But I've only managed to entice about 3 people into it. Two came with me to Crete - one LURVED ashtanga "I can't beleive how its affecting me" the other got really into Tai Chi. Its horses for courses, innit.

I still don't have a body like Madonna tho', gawdammit!

P.S Sometimes drugs don't ruin lives. I work in an industry (and a city) where recreational candies are the norm and not really a big deal... which means you can take 'em or leave 'em.
