Guest guest
Missy pinky has also been blessed with an abundant bustline! There is only one bra for ashtanga yoginis I recommend the Champion brand sports bra which is sized eg. 34 C/D. It is not hideous looking, offers much suppport, is not overly unibooded and is comfy. And most importantly you don't have to pull the contraption over your head and then breasts (as if). It has two lil' hooks in the back - quite narrow - which if youy have been wearing bras since the second form (or 7th grade) is a great relief.
Missy Pinky hopes this advice makes your yoga practice a whole lot lighter.
yours in abundance (tee hee)m.p. Guest guest
<< is not overly unibooded>>
yes, i'm a guy, but what the @*!$ is 'unibooded'? uniboobed?--as if! shecyclops! unibodied?? i'm dying to know. or is this one of those great mysteries known only to those possessing 2 X chromosomes, like the mechanics of those devious "lil hooks". what's with that--the goal is to get them off more easily, isn't it? Guest guest
Thanks, Missy Pinky. Now, if you don't mind, from one well-endowed woman to another, please give me some adivice as to squeezing oneself into Mayurasana (peacock, if I'm spelling it wrong).

Stiffy mother John AKA Okrgr1: If you really don't know what the uniboob is, if that creative mind of yours can't imagine it, ask your wife! She can demonstrate, unless she is a lithe as Sunshine. Guest guest
Thank you, I think... Guest guest
Que horror! I just reread what I wrote and realized that I used the hateful word "wonderful" twice! OK I'll change it to eliminate that bane all together: Bandawoman the yogawench is a well-endowed writing witch who willfully weaves a wily, wacky whatnot with wise and wicked words. There, that's better.

I most certainly cannot give you advice on bothersome bountiful busts.

Sunshine

I sent my cousin Barbara to see you last week; she was going to Ibiza and didn't know you existed. I pointed her to your website, and she was on a mission. I hope she found you. (I haven't heard from her so I don't think she's back in NYC yet.) Maybe someday I'll be lucky enough to join you dancing in the light of the full moon, on an astanga high.

But can someone please tell, me what is "Kaivalya?" Guest guest
To all, esp. Bandawoman: sorry for subjecting you to my alliterative antics. It must be the influences of the full moon.

Godfrey, does Ibiza have full moon parties like those on Ko Phan Gan, Thailand?
Guest guest
kaivalya....you could call it the result of the judicious application of yama&niyama to asana....which application extends via pranayama and meditation to kaivalya....the yoga equivalent of nirvana....the beingstate wherein the the singularity of infinite consciousnessenergy is manifest in the finite form of a human being (moon in a dewdrop)...jivanmukti is a term used to describe one living within this beingstate....no sign of barbara....send yr. email address to godfrey and ill send you patanjali...including a list of his references to kaivalya.... Guest guest
banda, two responses to an older post. i finally remembered to ask my wife what a uni-boob was. she gave me this quizzical look, then asked: "what are you doing on that internet any way?" i got the impression she thought i was the uni-boob.

in re: painful peacock. i was going thru some sites by different teachers, looking for an interesting workshop to go to with my wife. yes, we are sorry little yoga tourists. at any rate, i found a picture which shows a modification (or perhaps it is an asana from the ninth series) which should relieve you of the squeezing discomfort--look ma, one hand!
http://www.ashtanga.net/
