Guest guest
I found this site: http://faculty.washington.edu/chudler/moon.html
which lists lots of studies of full moon effects on things like violent crime, traffic accidents, hospital admissions (mental and A&E). From a quick scan, it looks like some studies have found correlations, most haven't.

A question for Guy or anybody else who knows about these things - wouldn't it make more sense to skip the practice nearest the full or new moon rather than the one on the same calendar day? Supposing the full moon rises on a Tuesday evening, why skip the Tuesday morning practice and not Wednesday morning, which is actually closer?

I normally observe moon days, but yesterday I skipped practice because I had a long day at work and was tired. This morning I had lots of energy so I practiced. It felt like a good practice, I don't seem to have newly injured anything and my struggling knees felt better than they have for months.

Oh and Sunshine, I started practicing in Manchester (UK, not New Hampshire). We could have taken SUN days off there and still not missed more than a couple of days practice a month.
