Guest guest
One of Guruji's favourite expressions is:
"do your practice and all is coming"

Those who have practiced for some time understand the truth of this. The problem for most people is establishing a practice in the first place.

It is more beneficial to practice a little yoga everyday than a lot infrequently.

Establishing a daily practice is important - without regular practice whatever you gain slips away.

According to Ayurveda, man's life expectancy is 100 years - we do the damage which shortens our lifespan by our various wrong choices in life.

A right choice we have made, is to practice yoga. And the benefit of practice is crystal clear to anyone who first tries it out.

Guruji practiced, as far as I know, from around 1930 - 1973 - 43 years. Most of us havent even been around that long. The evidence of Guruji's practice is quite clear - he seems 30 years younger than his physical age.

The asana practice needs to be established in a daily rythm for a number of years to really gain benefit. I have heard it said that 30 years practice is sufficient to give you good health for the rest of your life.
Guest guest
Somewhere I heard a statement by BKS Iyengar, maybe in a lecture or in one of his books, that Krishnamacharya had them practice asanas sometimes for up to 10hrs a day in the 1930's.
