Guest guest
Senor Pinche Wey--It was you who told us about Dr John Sarno's book Healing Back Pain wasn't it? I want to thank you a million times over for sharing that info, because that book has changed my life. Those of you who have been posting about pain lately might want to check it out. If I could, I would give everyone here a copy. Fortunately though, it's cheap and any of your independant local booksellers should be able to order it for you if they don't stock it.
I should add that it's not just about back pain. The stuff I read in the book applies to the back strain I got lifting a patient at work, as well as the knee pain I used to feel running and biking, tension headaches, pains during yoga practice, and other mysterious pains. Pains that I only have minor insignificant versions of now, if at all. Sound too good to be true? jsut wait.
One of my big reasons for doing yoga was to help my body feel better physically. Now this book has freed my practice to be whatever it wants to be, instead of having the specific purpose of fixing me. I trust my body now. Before the aches and pains meant that there was something wrong with it. Now I believe that that view couldn't be further from the truth (in many cases anyway).
I'll leave of being Senor and Sarno's biggest fans now, but not before saying one more time: If something hurts, read this book!
