Guest guest
Thanks for your words of support. I am self conscious, misplaced as that may be, so reading all the postings helps. My partner and I are going to look for the centre today, so that I'll know how to get there next week (driving in Edinburgh is even more stressful that going to that first class, given I'm still getting used to driving on the left side of the road, and don't know my way around very well). I think I'll hit a drop in class, and then speak with a teacher afterward about my time limitations and how to proceed from there.

Monkeymind, it's funny you mentioned the Alexander Technique, because that was one of the first approaches I tried in addressing my poor posture. I bought a book (I just remember the cover being blue with yellow lettering), and practiced the sequences within it. It didn't have the powerful impact on my mind, body and spirit the way the astanga yoga has, and I didn't stick with it for long.
