Guest guest
Another excellent book on vipassana meditation is _Mindfulness In Plain English_ by Henepola Gunaratana. The book can be found in its entirety online:

http://www.saigon.com/~anson/ebud/mfneng/mind0.htm

Regardi\ ng vipassana centers in MA, the IMS center gheranda mentioned has a website:

http://www.dharma.org/ims.htm

And for another flavor of vipassana, you could check out the Vipassana Meditation Center in Shelburne Falls which holds monthly 10 day courses:

http://www.dhara.dhamma.org/

(Note that the two centers teach different styles of vipassana.)

And of course there's a ! club:

http://clubs./clubs/insightmeditationclub

Abhayagiri monastery of Northern CA does so as well; also books. Both are a couple of the best buddhist organizations I've seen.

Ajahn Amaro's tapes (from Abhayagiri) are particularly wonderful. He's from England as has been a Buddhist monk for 20 years; of all the tapes I've ever had, his are the one's I listen to over and over again..
