Guest guest
When I took a few Bikram classes (that was all that was offered in my parents town) I really wasn't that impressed. I took a couple here in Kansas City at my studio and although the class was run very well, i will agree, it was too choppy. I love the flow of ashtanga and the way you never stop moving. Bikram just seemed to be too "then you do this...stop...then you do this...stop...now lay down a minute...okay now get up and do this..." I really didn't like it (although some people do). A few of the postures were challanging (muscularly, not physically), but on the whole, it was...boring. Just my opinion!

Hari Om,

Lauren
Guest guest
When I was on Oahu I couldn't find any ashtanga classes either so I went to a Bikram's class so I could sweat. Sweat I did, hated the class. I totally agree with your comments, I felt assaulted as the instructor clapped her hands and counted. Hopefully next year the astanga community will have grown there and I can find some classes.
