Guest guest
there are some intelligent people on this board. Does it appeal to intelligent people to deal with global issues from within nationalistic power-structures? Or does it feel like a fake and "set up" battle that can't be won?

How about peacefully taking over the planet with a global Ashtanga Government (GAG?) - like some friendly extraterrestrials of superior intelligence?

I doubt we can get all politicians to do a full series daily practice. But we can playfully try out models for an alternative world government based on the principles of Ashtanga Yoga and personal freedom/Kaivalya and administered via the Internet.

Oh well, - ideas. I euphorically foresaw the www in 1989 working with "HyperCard" (before there was any www). I am certain this idea, too, will emerge: The Transcendental Meditation Ecology Party, the international yoga congress (I forgot the exact name), Bikram's efforts towards a Yoga university in Hawaii etc. are some attempts already visable now. But how and by whom will the key-technologies be put into place (technology in the sense of socio-biological engineering)? -

McLuhan stated for the 60s: "There are no political solutions - only technological ones"

and Feuerstein called his book "Yoga - The Technology of Ecstasy"

I'd be interested to learn what people think who have political and policy-analysis backgrounds. Are there websites critical for new developments in this area (global internet-based power management and regulation)?
