Guest guest
Alan, thank you so much for making your photos now accessible to me via my little iMac. While looking at them it struck me that one did not have to be of David Swensen's caliber of practice to attend the recent workshop with Guruji. How encouraging for me, as my practice is floundering these days, to see practioners of various levels maintaining enthusiasm. Perhaps, for me, my weakening practice is the physical manifestation of a downward trend both personal and political, as in "It's the economy, stupid; read my [son's] lips." Or, read my stupid son's lips.

Nice to see a photo of you, too.

Waif

I can't do full first series properly at the best of times, and at the time of the workshop I had a knee problem that limited me even more. I still found the event inspiring, and was most impressed with how Guruji was able to adjust me way past the limits of my fear *without* hurting the knee.

There were also complete novices at the workshop (including, so I heard, Eddie Stern's mum) and Guruji really appeared to enoy working with them.

Hang in there with your practice. I hope you have a teacher or a group you can practice with because, as Trishan said, a message board is no substitute for real contact with sympathetic peope.
