Guest guest
Have you read any Lynne Margulies (sp)? I think it's in the book "The Gaia Principle" where she talks a lot about why we have an affinity for the furry, big-eyed creatures of the world (because they are more like us) and care less about the fates of the creatures that share fewer mammalian characteristics. It's an interesting read in the cow/fish context.

As a scuba diver, I really do like grouper as a group, as well as other kinds of fish, especially parrot fish, the crazy Peter Max-designed fish that first inspired me to learn to dive when I heard them munching on the ocean floor off Bonaire.
