So comb your leg hair Funkybadlady and go take her class--- you might learn something.
Guest guest
Hi, I'm a new member here. I don't claim to be on the inner circle of devoted astanga yogis, but I can tell you that Sharon doesn't wear shoes in her class; in fact, no shoes are permitted inside the Jivamukti Center. (There is also no cross-dressing, or "tranny yoga" -- what a wild thought.) Sharon's classes are not strict ashtanga, but they are consistently among the best yoga classes of any kind that I have attended. (Jivamukti also offers genuine led ashtaga and Mysore-style ashtanga classes.)<br> Regarding the vegetarianism debate, missy pinky's post is right on; instead of being defensive about it, you should just take her point as good information (and, as a little exhortation from somebody who obviously wants to help people with their practice)-- vegetarianism is an integral part of the practice to which this site is (supposedly) devoted. You can do it, or not. ("Listen, if you have ears".)
