Guest guest
Actually, you called it, funky, and people who patronize is my pet peeve.

So we will invite irinji onto my couch.

Irin (ji to those who are close to you)
To feel like the benevolent mother who is able to see everything that ails everyone else and able to tell them how to improve their experience is what makes you feel so together and on top of it. It adds meaning to your life and a sense of clout to your actions.

Try doing things for people without assessing how much it will help them, do it anonimously. Actually just respect other's experience without feeling that you understand or can improve upon it.

When the temptation arises to advise others, just repeat to yourself "eventhough i'm positive i totally understand this and can help them by saying something, i'll just pause.....i'll be quiet....and send light from my heart to their heart. That will be enough." If you absolutely must say something say to yourself "i WILL wait till next time".
