Guest guest
light on yoga is a great reference, for any form of yoga. the majority of the book is spent illustrating and describing the different postures but a good portion of the book addresses other arms of yoga as well.
he actually ranks all the postures on a scale of difficulty, with one being the easiest. i think the hardest was ranked 60 or so.
can you guess what posture in the standing series/first series/finishing series group was rated most difficult? the answer kind of surprised me. just to put our struggles in context, if i recall correctly, he gave it a difficulty rating in the mid-teens.

i just got Light on Pranayama but haven't had a chance to spend much time with it yet. for some other ideas, try some of the books given in terry slade's link for yoga books:
http://www.ionet.net/~tslade/yogabook.htm
