RSI and vinyasas

This is the old "should I lay off or push

through" kind of question. And is similar, I think, to

Madonna_ashtanga's query about the tweaking elbow. I've been writing

a lot at the computer lately and usually the

astanga alleviates any RSI symptoms, or I have excellent

wrist posture from the astanga. However, lately I'm

having typical RSI pains that make lift-up, jump-back,

jump-through vinyasas difficult and PAINFUL. I've decided to

switch to the "roll over" technique for the time being.

My concern is that my wrist/arm strength will

diminish, resulting in making the RSI possibly worsen in

the long-run (or never really going away because of

atrophy) or (worst yet!) I'll "lose" the vinyasas I had

been working on all summer. Oh, heaven forbid I have a

set-back in my practice (joking- after 4 years there have

been plenty of leaps forward and set-backs, so I can

handle the temporary "loss" of vinyasa).

Should I

hold up on the wrist pressure in the vinyasas as I am?

Or, should I try to push through so as not to lose

wrist/arm strength that could potentially lead to more

aggravated RSI symptoms?
