Guest guest
Eagerness is certainly a positive quality when learning something new BUT why worry about Intermediate, and Advanced Sections and their method and approach when you have not even studied with a competent teacher let alone any teacher at all! Saving money for Mysore is sure gonna be difficult when you're throwing good cash away on inferior books, manuals and videos. Is it too late to get refunds on any of that clutter? Go to the source, Friend. If not Mysore just yet then start with Sri Jois's own book Yoga Mala and the excellent Yoga Works produced tape of Sri Jois leading Primary series to a group of six accomplished and long time practitioners. Oh and don't forget the possibility of studying with an accomplished teacher who practices daily, speaks highly of Guruji and visits Mysore regularly to study and learn.
Ashtanga Yoga - it may surprise you- is not a sandwich! As a matter of fact has nothing what so ever to do with a sandwich or making a sandwich. This classical system of yoga is a vinyasa system which means a breathing system and can only be learned from a qualified teacher. And Friend, a teacher cannot be qualified in one weekend, four months, after one trip to India or at the end of an electronic question and answer period.

Instead of putting one cart or several before the horse I would suggest dangling a carrot - contentment. For that is what daily practice will bring.

enjoy - m.p.
