Did you ever meet the man?

I get so sick of cultic pre-rational guru worship.

Sorry to sound so harsh G, but like the rest of the country I'm still upset over the passing of Kid Rock's sidekick Baba Looie. Plus, Jois himself has changed the series, his authorized teaching students have made some changes to the series (sometimes teaching classes of improvisation) and I've never heard of anyone suffering ill effects from these changes, except perhaps of the fractured sense of comfort they enjoyed believing they were practicing the Perfect Teaching of the Perfect Master.

On top of it all, I believe that probably 99% of what people consider "pure" teachings handed down "intact" from the distant dawn of antiquity is just stuff culled from other sources or evolved from experience. If there's evidence to imply otherwise I'm all for seeing it; unfortunately such evidence always seems to be juuuust out of reach. Not unlike substantiation of the claims of Art Bell show guests.
