I always try not to - but then in New York people were strolling in and out with video cameras, compared to which I guess the odd bit of flash isn't that distracting. I took the morning class and for the first week people were taking pictures of our class with flash. Then when I went one day to shoot pictures I was told no flash. It was pretty dark and the exposure was around 1/2 a second, so I ended up with lots of movement if I didn't time things perfectly. <br>I wanted to shoot a few pictures with flash, so I asked Annie Pace the next day and she said it was fine.
