Guest guest
Some other books which may be better would be:
Yoga Mala - Pattabhi Jois
Astanga Yoga - Lino Miele
Ashtanga Yoga - The Practice Manual - David Swenson
Ashtanga Yoga - John Scott

But I think it would be even better to get a video or two. The video from Yoga Works with Pattabhi Jois is a good reference. David Swenson and Richard Freeman both have excellent videos with lots of explanation. My current favorite is the video of Sarah Powers on Maui. I think the Swenson video is a little fast paced. Sarah says to aim for 5 seconds on the the inhale and 5 seconds on the exhale, so the pace is much slower. Also, she gives lots of good instruction on this video.

Info on where to get all these books and videos is here:

http://www.ionet.net/~tslade/yogabook.htm
http://www.ionet.net/~tslade/yogavid.htm
Guest guest
I've been meaning to ask..please let us know if Andrew is doing any teaching-touring to California.

For those who don't know of Andrew Eppler (and that's the majority), IMO he's one of the most accomplished astanga yogis in the world. Guest guest
Not that I know of. When he went travelling last summer, he taught in England and in Vienna, Austria. You can always contact him by email. His address is on his webpage.
