Guest guest
Some people never sweat, and they manage to keep cool and dry until the end of the finishing sequence. In my case it's enough to do Surya Namaskara A&B, and sweat will pour from every part of my body.

I never had any problems with that, and I don't feel embarassed because of it either. Sweat is just water, you know, and perfectly natural if you do strenuous exercise. If smell is your problem, a good deodorant is just all you need.

In Ashtanga Yoga sweat is also a highly desirable effect of practice and an integral part of it, since it helps to cleanse and purify the body, as well as to release the toxins held within the muscle tissue and internal organs. In Ashtanga Yoga, the more you sweat, the better.

If your body aches after practice, maybe you are doing too much too fast. Just slow down and do the postures more carefully. If others are faster than you, if the bloke next to you is able to do Marichy D like nothing and you not, who cares? In yoga (if that is actually what you are doing at your gym) there is no rivalry, no competition. One of the principles of yoga is not to seek the fruits of action. Thus your practice should be for its own sake, without regard to success or failure.
