Guest guest
hey blondie, had a scare the other day. was out walking the big fat one the other night (no i mean my dog. get your mind out of the gutter). he heard a coyote or some other form of prey and decided the chase was on. straight out into the street. of course, the only car to come by in 10 minutes just happened to be barreling by just then. i cringed waiting for the big crunch and squeal. but, only heard a small whump. i think he just got grazed by the fender. he walks okay, but he struggles to get up from lying down. he normally gets walked with a leash. i try to give him some freedom at night to putter about on his own. may have to keep him noosed up now. too close for comfort. Guest guest
so is there a moral to this story? are you trying to say that too much freedom is a bad thing? Or that we should all try being tied up for a while?
Guest guest
Loulou is beautiful! Hope she/he is feeling better soon...unless now you are pureley yanking our chain with this message...I AM a newbie here...!
Guest guest
<<so is there a moral to this story? >
no not really. it hadn't fulfilled my dreck quota for the month yet so i thought i'd try and catch up. i know that loulou is a doggie sort of person and might commiserate with poor lame kia. also, i wanted to change the tenor of the conversations to something lighter. i got off on a critical foot and it seems to have spread. but, a moral, no. i'm sorta amoral so you're out of luck looking for higher meaning from me. Guest guest
hey sandy,
no i'm not yanking your chain. but i did inadvertently lead you astray. the walking wounded's name is kia. he's our big fat akita. loulou, aka blondeismorefun, is our local london meeja hore (video producer) with the quick and biting wit but the soft side for dogs.

we'd love to do something when you come down in january. e-mail me and we can set something up okrgr. is your family coming as well? if so, we've got three yogitas, ages 4 thru 7 that would can show them the local scene. bon voyage
Guest guest
Kia, is a beautiful dog! Please bare - oops bear with me, as I learn your
sense of humor! Sandy
Guest guest
The same thing happened with my dog when I was young: Badger appeared ok and walked with a limp - we had him checked out by the vet an he was passed fine but the vet did point out that Badge had been thru a very traumatic experience and to give him a lot of cuddles. And to be extra nice to him around cars and roads - actually to avoid them for a while.

Also, you might wanna tell him to cut down on his ashatanga, at least until he's cleared of breakages. Guest guest
Sunshine, there's nothing wrong with a bit of bondage... and I'm sure there's a perfect club out the just ITCHING for your membership. It's aso a very viable fitness alternative to ashtanga... and your increased flexibility will lead to all sorts of exciting "bound" positions. Guest guest
<<you might wanna tell him to cut down on his ashatanga>>

not to worry, his practice has always been mostly meditation. though he can do a mean down dog. he is currently doing very extended sessions of savasana, his favorite posture. we have to check him every now and then just to make sure he's still breathing. Guest guest
Isn't it kind of early in the morning in San Diego? Shouldn't you be practicing?

(But then, it's midday in sunny Deutschland so shouldn't I be working?)
Guest guest
Ashtanga yoga involves enough s&m, b&d. We have baddha padmasana (bondage). We have urdvha dhanurasana (masochism). We have both sadism and dominance right here in this club.

yours in cuffs,
Sun and Mike (S&M)
Guest guest
LOL, S&M! Hey, by the way, since I am new here and I read your bio, where exactly are you two right now - some far off place? Some place more exotic than Cleveland in the winter?! Please give me a dristi...Sandy
Guest guest
hey mama, we are in Vancouver now. Cold but not as cold as Cleveland.
Guest guest
Hi Sun & Mike,

I just checked out your site, um, it was, well, interesting, but hey, I won't judge you on content. I don't think you give yourselves enough credit though - you are quite witty. Your wedding photo is absolutely great - you both look so happy! You seem like a neat couple, full of life and more evolved than you probably think you are! I, too, have the travel bug - used to work on a cruise ship. Now I am land-locked in Ohio. Loved the Bushism site - thanks for that tip...needed a good chuckle today on that front. (wonder how my yoga will be today - savasana will be tough) Anyway, nice to know you both here...it's cool that there are some really interesting people here. Cool. Guest guest
oh if you are disappointed with that answer, Sandy, we do have some unusaul new years plans: Harrison Hot Springs, BC--never been to natural hot springs before so it will be a bit exotic in its own way. Guest guest
Thanks Sandy! Oh yeah, those beer fonts are for a personal friend who is designing a web site about the 3500+ beers he has tried from around the world. If anyone thinks I'm an anal beer snob (won't drink crapola like Bud, Coors, Molson, etc.) you should listen to him. He dissects and analyzes every sip, every bubble, every scent, so he can carefully document and describe every beer. He can detect flavors that to me don't exist in the beer and to me, takes it so far I can't see how he even reaps any enjoyment from the process!

Sandy, I've heard working on cruise ships is hard--long hours. What was your position? Where did you go? I've thought about doing it before, but am allergic to hard work.
