Guest guest
thanks alan. i have gotten better gradually. i still crater from time to time. the hardest thing is to keep the empty mind. the more it wanders, the more the feet seem to twirl around. probably the best posture to practice mental control in.

i'm trying to work on duration and form now. after a long count, i still struggle a bit with getting back the 90 degree position and holding it there for a 10 count. i think after a while, i begin to cave in and my neck starts to pick up more than it's fair share of weight carrying responsibility. i'm definitely not yet ready to balance at the end of a dock over a cold mountain lake.

a ways back, sun had a picture of her husband doing a head stand. i thought it was real strong but she went on about his chest caving in--i couldn't see it. but now, i think about that a lot when trying to hold the pose--am i collapsing in? i don't know what i should do in terms of chest expansion etc. no one has ever mentioned that part of it to me. i consider trying to press outward, but i'm usually so happy just to be up that i don't want to lose it, so i don't push it too hard. sun, you've got me all confused now!
