Guest guest
Hi Mike, or is this Sun?

Hey, I am a self proclaimed beer snob too. Coffee too. Bath soap, though, I steal the hotel stuff. Shower caps too. Go figure. Back to beer...On a cruise I took shortly after I got off the ship as crew, we had the ULTIMATE beer tasting night on board - just the band members and the pursers and a few other staffers. (The musicians and those with the money - do I know how to pick my friends or what?!) I was the fitness director on previous trips, but on this one, I was just a passenger, traveling with my fiance. Same ship, same co-workers who had collected beers from all over the world, during their 10 month cointracts. So, one night, we had this beer tasting night. That's where I developed my taste for a good wheat beer. We had beers from India, Scotland, Italy, Denmark, Germany - you name it. My memory of the evening fades, for obvious reasons. One of the highlights of that trip, though...Sandy
Guest guest
oooooh Sandy that sounds great! Same with you on the coffee (I'm really out of the closet now--yes, I drink coffee but it has to be quality, and hopefully organic). I grind up whole cardamom with the beans. It adds wonderful flavor and in ayurvedic medicine, cardamom neutralizes the caffeine's effects to a degree. I make a mean soy-achino with unprocessed sugar and organic vanilla soy milk with a dash of cinammon on top. ;-)
Guest guest
mmmmmm on the soy-achino! Me, too, only organic. Went organic about a year ago. On everything. MUST grind daily - I will try the cardamon seeds - never heard of that, although I am planning to get a book on Ayurvedic concepts next. I just do a cup or two a day...Hey, we're corrupting this list...Who was it that suggested Massive Attack for yoga? I bet that guy is a coffee drinker! Although, I enjoyed the decaf Mezzanine very much. Sandy
Guest guest
Yes--must grind daily. Then I use a French press to brew. Mike can't drink coffee but once every few months. He gets so anxious it's almost like paranoia.

We live a few blocks from a wonderful store with the best organic produce (and coffee beans) in town. The greens are so healthy and bright. We buy everything possible organic, too. It's become so easy and inexpensive.
