Guest guest
I'm sorry--why do I have the urge to start a bunny roll race now? Go Bugsy go! (

Guest guest
<<Is this book the best place to start? Yoga Mala? And then what books should I go to next?>>

sandy, yes, yoga mala is probably the best book to get first. it is the source reference after all. it provides context for other books that may provide more how-to details for us beginners.
after that, it sounds like you have more than enough. the most important thing is the doing. i bought most of the books and videos available within a few weeks of starting this process. i do refer to them from time to time but the most important thing for me has been going to practice as much as possible. far more value that any visual aid or book. so hold off on any more gew gaws for a month or so, get some consistant practice under your belt and then try some other videos if you want. they really won't add that much more though
Guest guest
> you should learn how to do Primary in the proper way at all

Quite.

Excuse me, but only three weeks ago weren't you saying you were new to astanga yoga?

Maybe instead of insulting other people's "supposed yogic skills" and obsessing about comparing the details of different books, you should actually get some experience of astanga yoga. Ideally with a good teacher, although I know that can be difficult in Germany. If there isn't a teacher where you live, you could try going to workshops with senior teachers - it isn't a substitute for a regular teacher but it's better than nothing.
