Just found an article on Guruji at

http://www.ashtangayogashala.com/articals-Hindusim.html , written

by Eddie Stern in "Hinduism today". But

maybe I am the only dunce here who hasn't read it yet.

I like Noah William's and Kimberly Flynn's site.

They are two tremendously fierce Ashtanga yogis (check

their photo gallery).

Bandawoman,

Thank

you for your nice post. I hope that Scott's book will

be available in America soon. If you are used to

David Swenson's sense of humour, you may find Scott

rather dry and formal. But he is a very fine teacher,

and his is the most detailed book on primary series

published so far. Of course you, and lovely Gabita too,

like everyone else, can call me by whatever name you

like. I wish you happy holidays too.

Thank you

Gabita, rwintski, and laproxdoc for your kindness and

your informations on David

Swenson.

Alan,

If you ever wanted to be "excessively harsh", your

posts prove your complete lack of ability to do so. If

anything, I always found your messages very helpful. Your

latest post on German teachers was very interesting, and

I thank you for that. It is informations like these

which make it worth to join this club.

I don't

intend to snub Hari Gaertner in Frankfurt, or any other

teacher here in Germany, just because he/she is not

"certified". As a matter of fact, I phoned Hari up already to

inquire about his classes. But his opening hours are

rather unapproachable to me, who lives near Frankfurt,

but not in Frankfurt itself (Tuesday, Wednesday,

Thursday, 5.30 pm to 10 pm). But I will probably attend

some of his classes on my holidays after semester

ends.

Alan, curious though. Am I wrong if I say that you

joined workshops with almost every Ashtanga superstar on

this globe, but you never read "Yoga Mala"? It

shouldn't be difficult for you to get Jois' book. But then,

everyone has his own, personal approach to Ashtanga Yoga

(I do it the bookish way). Thank you again for your

helpful posting.

This may be my last message this

year. I will be off to Italy soon for a week or so to

visit some friends there.

Peace to

all!

See you joining the Ashtanga fray in the next

millenium and fighting it out again.
