Guest guest
I have recently found a very interesting new website:

http://extensionyoga.com

This site is being developed by Sam Dworkis, who is the author of Extension Yoga (aimed at people over 35) and Recovery Yoga (aimed at people with injuries or chronic illness). Sam Dworkis has been teaching and practicing yoga for about 25 years and wound up developing Multiple Sclerosis a few years ago, which has sent him even deeper into studying how to practice and teach yoga for healing. On this website he explains a lot of the anatomy and physiology behind yoga and stretching. He makes the point that for many people it is not appropriate to be too forceful with stretching - less is more. His approach may seem almost "anti-Ashtanga" but there is a lot of good info there that should be of interest to any student or teacher of yoga, and especially to anyone who is currently having trouble practicing Ashtanga. Guest guest
Terry,

I know Sam Dworkis' "Extension" book, because it appeared also in this country in a translated edition.

But I don't think that Extension Yoga is "anti-Ashtanga". It's Iyengar Yoga pure and simple under a new name.
