Janu Sirsasana B Question

In John Scott's new book "Ashtanga Yoga" and in

Yoga Mala, the position of the heel is described as

being placed under the anus. Can anyone offer any

thoughts about this? I've always thought to place it

between the genitals and the anus as described in David

Swenson's book. Please offer any ideas or thoughts.

Cheers!

Nada

David Swenson shows Janu Sirsasana B the way it's

taught also in Iyengar Yoga, and that is how I always

did that pose in my Iyengar days.

I don't

know if David Swenson's version is more "correct".

After all, Primary Series as taught by David Swenson

differs from Scott's one in many other points too. It may

just be that there are 2 different ways of how to do

Janu Sirsa B. The one shown by John Scott in his book

his certainly the more difficult one.
