Guest guest
Thanks for your discussion responses. Actually, I never had any trouble with either wrist before and I think it was not the sudden result of too infrequent a practice. I think I just happened to notice it for the first time while doing sun salutations. So it's off to a doc for some xrays for me.Not practicing for a week hasn't had any effect.<br> Let me tell you about a real hazard. There's a class of antibiotics, I think they're called fluoroquinilones, that can cause extreme tendon damage if you exercise while taking them. Levaquin is one of them. I took one of those a couple of years ago when I had bronchitis, and then was eager to get back to tae kwondo and yoga as soon as I started feeling human again without realizing the danger. I didn't have a complete rupture but my ankles were hurting for over a year. I didn't figure out what had happened until I got an antibiotic again 6 months later and read the pharmacist's warning info. The orthopedic surgeon, physical therapist, and podiatrist I saw in the mean time didn't have a clue either. I'm finally recovered with just an occasional twinge but a year without much exercise, ugh!
