I wouldn't say that these are "necessary," but

here are the vaccines I got before going to Mysore:

Hep A, Typhoid, malaria pills. My stomach completely

rejected the malaria pills. Australian-strength, natural

insect repellent like Green Ban works fine to ward off

mosquitoes at dusk. One is more likely to contract the

common cold and respiratory infections brought on by

pollution in the city.

Can't help but wonder: how can the country that gave us this wonderful yoga

system still be abounding in so many diseases? <br>Diseases mostly related to

poor hygiene? Unreal...

You are absolutely right. I wouldn't go there.

You probably lose more (health) than you would gain

by going there. And isn't that what is really most

important? Isn't that one of the main reasons for doing

yoga?

in regard to why not take the preventative steps.

thats a good question. and if i didnt hate shots i

probably wouldnt think twice. but there are people who

question the safety of vaccines, what they may do to your

body, what theyre made of etc. granted, most of the

anti vaccine material i've seen isn't very impressive.

but i am hesitant to automatically buy into anything

thats supported by the big

business/government/insurance company machine.
