Guest guest
Hi...I just reviewed a post you made a while back about power yoga VS. astanga...I am currently writing an article on this topic and would love to know your sources on this! I am also a new astangi and searching for answers. My sources thus far have been yoga texts such as Yoga Mala, Light on Yoga and others that I have flipped through at the library. I am most interested in your recources for astanga yoga and the science behind it. Other than the carpal tunnel research, I am not aware of any and am currently researching this. Any help you could give me is much appreciated! Thanks you...Sandy<br>"Power v. Traditional - Yoga is an actual science. If one practices the science as it has been proved to be effective one will achieve the actual results of that science. Ashtanga Yoga is the prescribed path towards awareness of our true nature and that of the universe. It is a path of harmony and union with God. Power yoga is exercise. If you want the results of the science of yoga you are wasting your time to pursue a non- scientific approach. If you are interested in becoming a God conscious person, practice Ashtanga Yoga. If you are interested in becoming body concious then go to the gym or do power err yoga."
