Guest guest
I learned ashtanga by David Swenson's videos.. hours and HOURS and many more HOURS of practice. Then I went to a studio and still do. Are you saying I did not really learn ashtanga? If that is the case I will be quite surprised as I do ashtanga every day and have for a few years.
Ashtanga, or any form of yoga, is not an elitist form of being.
For instance, I learned German from an American whose wife was German. I learned German and went to Germany for college and spoke to everyone is near perfect German for several years.. are you saying that because I didnt learn from a German I did not really know German?
Just curious..
Owlfire
Guest guest
But books & videos CAN be useful. Especially when you're stuck in the boondocks.

Guest guest
Not only ashtanga, anything for that matter must be learnt from a qualified teacher. By the way, how to know that that person is a qua;lified teacher?
