My definition of a yoga tourist is not someone

who goes on holiday to take yoga, but one who visits

yoga like a tourist - eg desecrates the environment

he/she is visiting.

if you want to live like a

punk, dont expect the world to accomodate you, however

if you are a toilet cleaner, India has great need of

you!

essons were learnt in the late 70s and

A yoga tourist is also someone who thinks they

are in a position to give out a lot of advice on how

to do ashtanga yoga but can't even do it himself.

If these conditions are so terrible as the toilet

cleaner is saying, then why does the toilet cleaner want

to go? If it is so expensive for you to spend time

with an 86 year old yogi, then ask the 86 year old

yogi to take less money from you. Go ahead and ask

him.

I would put up with quite a lot to have the chance

to be in a class with Pattabhi Jois in Mysore What's

wrong with waiting a couple of hours? I've been waiting

my whole life. And what the hell else are you going

to do there? Bring a book for goodness sakes. I

guess it all depends on how entitled one thinks they

are.

FBL

Don't mind: of course, I WILL keep my mouth open

- if only to inquire, and not just to swallow, and

swallow, just like you seem to do.

If I don't do

astanga every day, that's because I want to keep my

practice lively, so it doesn't degenerate in some kind of

boring routine. I think I can learn a lot from other

approaches in yoga too, like Iyengar Yoga, which I did for 3

years & which I now practise along with Astanga Yoga.

Fortunately, there are also a lot of people here who post

messages which are really helpful to me, and not just

individuals like you who post nothing but fundamentalist

B-U-L-L-S-H-I-T!!!!

Did anyone say Guruji was holy?

I think

you are confusing Christianity with

yoga,

There is no vow of poverty on the path of yoga. for the

weak minded it may be necessary - even the idea of

having money is disturbing for some such

people.

a wise man has great use for money to do good in

society.
