Guest guest
In Eddie Stern's article "The Jois of Yoga", http://www.ashtangayogashala.com/articals-Hindusim.html , you can read:

"Last year Guruji completed a restoration project in his village of the Rameshwara Linga and Ganapati Mandirams(?) in the memory of his wife, Savitramuna(?) Jois, who passed away three years ago. This year he completed the construction of a Shankaracharya temple in his village. The consecration is scheduled for February of 2001. There will also be a patashala, or youth training school."

So part (or even most) of what K P.Jois earns from his teaching may go into those charitable projects, intended to improve Mysore's infrastructure. Guest guest
Oooops, sorry. The article refers to the village in which Jois was born, not Mysore. Sorry again.
Guest guest
This is great news, because India is in dire need of more temples and shrines.

Children can always find a spot to sleep on the streets...but stone idols need a proper place to live.
