Guest guest
Looking at the sun in the morning is a yogic practice for some. The sunlight goes to your hypothalamus and then pituitary, increasing endocrine gland secretions. Increases metabolism etc. Your optic nerve branches to the part of your brain that interprets what you see AND to your hypothalamus.

My own way is to put on a baseball hat

Look at an area NEAR the sun and have the bill of the hat block the sun

Do it for 15 minutes and do it in the morning before 10AM

Anyone have other ways of doing it?
Suggestions?
Input?

Thanks
JoeYogi
Guest guest
Hello Joe Yogi

There is a body-therapist called Meir Schneider that have a work very dedicated to the eyes healing, since he was almost blind I think, and healed himself with some techniques. If you take a look at his book (THE HAND BOOK OF SELF HEALING) you will see that he clearly uses yoga techniques, and he says that looking at the sun in the morning, before 10am, is very healhy BUT NEVER THROUGH THE GLASS OF A WINDOW AND ALWAYS WITH THE EYES CLOSED, and he says, I REPEAT, WITH THE EYES CLOSED!!!! He says we should not use contact lenses nor sunglasses to do this. And keep your head moving slowly to one side ond to the other...for 2 minutes..and then go to the dark for 2 minutes more, and then come back...the light will come into the eyes anyway (and it surely does) and that doing it with open eyes is really dangerous.

He says some more things but I can't read all the book now...

Bye!
