Guest guest
Thanks to all those who replied to my message. It's nice to know that people have experienced similar issues, in different ways.

I guess what I mean by a changing my lifestyle, is that what we eat and drink also affect those we relate to - friends and family - and the patterns of behaviour we have with those we love - drinking alcohol, smoking cigaretts and eating what's not a part of the yoga teaching.

Also my job - which I left 6 months ago - didn't give me room to live in a way to encourage my practice. Of course, I understand that it was up to me to draw the line (which I eventually did by leaving) but now I am in the position to have to look for another job (after 6 months!), I am finding it all overwhelming.

The field of my work is in the 'creative' world, and you don't leave your work at the office. You go to parties, socialise, have dinners & drinks - the basic networking scene. Before I used to work and do what I can with my practice, but ever since I stopped working, my husband has been pressuring me to do the morning practice.

Anyhow, this is getting a bit long, but just wanted to say thanks. I know that it's all about practice and balance in your life, and I will find it without making too much of a drastic change.
