Guest guest
Hi friends,
the world ist just amazing. Looking around I've read a very very very very interesting interview with Sarah Powers. She practise not only ashtanga, but also Taoist Yoga (Yin-Yang-Yoga), what she had learned by Paul Grilley. This form is been practised if you are cold (!), and the effect should be, to deepen the yoga-practice (especially on the ligaments, prana, energy). For example they hold some posture 3-5 minutes (!). It seems similiar to Iyengar.
Is there anybody who can tell us something about? Paul Grilley has also a book: "Taoist Yoga", but I can't find it.
Fot those who are interested:
http://www.yogamind.com/sarah_powers_interview.shtml
http://www.sarahpowers.com/sp_article.htm

Paul Grilley:
http://www.yogastudiomillvalley.com/teachertraining2001_2.html
Guest guest
Thanks for posting those links. I was very interested in the article on Sarah Powers I read in Yoga Journal a ways back (the second link in your msg). I had also found the 3rd link you gave and learned of Paul Grilley's book. The first link you give is a newer article I had not seen and an email address is given there for info on obtaining the book. I'll look into that. My favorite Ashtanga video is the Sewell Archives tape of Sarah leading a primary series class in Hawaii. http://www.ashtanga1.com/html/maui.html
