Malsag ---

Hey, thanks for asking. Well,

those nagging sensations in my hands and ultimately

down my whole body were from a ruptured disk in my

neck. I had an MRI which should a complete rupture of

the disk between c5 and c6. I needed immediate

surgery as it was causing endema of my spinal cord, hence

the numbness in my abdomen and legs.

I had a

fusion done a week before Christmas and was told not to

do any yoga until June. It was hard as I was just

coming off of a great summer studying with guruji in

France and California. I was in my best ashtangi form.

But that is ok. I will slowly get back into it

starting with an iyengar practice and then working my way

back into the first series.

Just one of those

'huge' setbacks that help me practice nonattachment and

non-desire that are so important to the practice of

yoga.

Yeshe
