Guest guest
Just obtained the recently discussed book, Taoist Yoga, by Paul Grilley. Can be purchased directly from the author - grilley
Very interesting and valuable book.

Also, FWIW, Paulie ZInk was the yoga teacher of the late, great guitar player Michael Hedges.

Added following info to my Yoga Books page:
http://www.ionet.net/~tslade/yogabook.htm

--------------<b\ r>
Taoist Yoga: Outline of a Quiet Practice - Paul Grilley
102 pages ($25.00) Self-published - contact author at grilley

Puts forth the theory that the meridians (energy pathways in oriental acupuncture/chakras) are within the connective tissues of the body (fascia and ligaments) and that the appropriate way to work with this system is slow stretching - holding postures for 3 to 5 minutes. Explains that connective tissue is yin, while muscles are yang. Gives examples of about 20 yoga postures which can be held for extended periods. Additional info on chakras, pranayama, meditation. The author studied with Paulie Zink http://www.martialinfo.com/WHo_is_Who/pauliezink.htm and with Dr. Hiroshi Motoyama http://www.cihs.edu/ .

--------------
