Guest guest
in my teacher's defense, she is NOT a yoga criminal. if that were so, everyone would be a yoga criminal. even at that, she also wouldn't be teaching aerobics if it was in Vogue instead of yoga. Yoga is truly her life. The fact is, many people do yoga for fitness purposes and that is something you can't deny. That doesn't make them any less of a person. People get bored. That's all there is to it. And I know that you'll say that one of the lessons of yoga is patience, human beings in this day in age AREN'T patient. No one on this list is patient. That doesn't mean that we're not trying to develop our patient qualities, it just means we have to keep trying. Can you honestly say that you have NEVER said something like "if only I could get my ankles to cross in supta kurmasana" or "when will i be able to comfortably sit in lotus?"? THAT in itself is being unpatient. So, for those of us who do regularly attend one of these yoga criminal "power flow" classes for fitness purposes, and those of us whose self esteem gets just a little higher by someone telling them they are good enough to try something else, we are only admitting to being human, which is more than i can say for some of the pompous assholes that feel the need to degrade everyone on this list. My teacher is not a criminal, once again, and i love her dearly. she has provided me with the support that i need to see myself as a worthwhile person when i used to not be so kind. just think about what people could throw stones at you for, before you start tossing your own at others.
