Guest guest
"Juliet Pegrum lives and works in New York, and continues to give Ashtanga classes there. Every year she spends several months studying Ashtanga yoga in India under the Master Shri Pattabhi Jois in Mysore, south India, who introduced her to the Ashtanga system. She has taught and demonstrated yoga in Jaipur, India, and Santiago, Chile. She has also studied Sanskrit and yoga sutras with eminent professors in Mysore."

(Info I found just now on the Amazon UK site.)

An authoritative book on Astanga Yoga - written by a woman! That would be a welcome novelty indeed.
Guest guest
Thanks for the info !
Thats why us Europeans have never heard of her, because she is from New York. I wonder where she teaches, Jivamukti maybe ?
I look forward to seeing her book but it will have to be good. John Scotts, David Swensons and Linos books are unbeatable IMO. Maybe her book will have some other aspects that these do not. I hope so.
Anyone know if Richard Freeman is bringing out a book ? I heard rumours about this but have not heard anything recently. Guest guest
I am sure I will buy her book, as soon as it comes out in October. Curious though: why should a book by an American Astanga Yoga teacher from New York first be published in Britain? (I haven't seen it on the American Amazon site yet.) I've seen Juliet there as well.

Cheers, DAN
