Guest guest
Hey ya'll! I just had to tell you my experiences with this video, because they've been great.
He explains the locks and gives instructions on jumping back and what to do if you can't do it yet. I have no trouble jumping back or forward, though it's a little awkward. The greatest part is the sweat, even though it doesn't feel like it's that intense of a workout.
In fact, I was a little disappointed the first day, because the routine didn't seem to be working my body as much as other yoga routines I'd been practicing, but the next day...whew! AND I found that I could go beyond his beginner's instructions a bit, I think only because of my Iyengar training and practice.
What's more, I decided to employ the locks during hiking. I contracted my anal muscles and pulled in my stomache and started hiking through the hills. About 15 minutes into it, I suddenly remembered the ujjayi and started that immediately and I was drenched with sweat in less than 3 minutes. Think I'll try those locks in my tai-chi routine, too. We were taught ujjayi in tai chi, but not the stomache. The sphincter contractions were only used after tai-chi when we were practicing meditation.
I've always tried to turn my hiking into a meditation practice, but today I achieved absorption and I'm pretty sure the ujjayi was the key. I'm very excited about the results of using this video.

Namaskar
Jay
