Guest guest
Just out of personal interest: Did you have any problems with the customs getting your rug from barefootyoga?
I ordered some rugs for me and friends and had to pay customs and tax. That made about 30% of the original price. Not to mention the 2 hrs at the c.office with people for whom the term "Beamter" (civil servant) seems to be invented.

Since then I'm looking for an easier way to get the rugs in Germany. Any hint is welcome.

Dirk
Guest guest
Yeah, importing a "Mysore practice rug" from the US into Germany is a nasty affair. My rug ended up in an office somewhere in northern Germany. They sent me a barrage of papers to fill out for declaration, and I also had to pay customs duty. All in all, I paid one Mysore rug from Barefootyoga for the price of three of them.

I have been looking for a way of getting a rug here in Germany for a long time - I also phoned up some Astanga-yoga teachers, in Munich as well as in Hamburg. I don't think you can get any in this country. An option would be to order them in another European country - Britain, say. However, although I found ordering a rug from Barefootyoga to be VERY expensive, I am quite happy actually with the one I got. The Barefootyoga rugs are very good. I'm thinking already of buying a second one - despite the hassle.
