Guest guest
Jess,
I am sorry if the earlier message was too rude. I get carried away with myself all of the time. I think I am sooo funny and, well, since I AM a purist after all, it turns out that mostly what I say is pure crap. I did email you but said that I did not know of anyone in Boston at all. There are probably good enough classes for all kinds of yoga and I hear there are very good Iyengar instructors. Later.

FBL
Guest guest
Oh, and, oops! If you are interested in Iyengar I suggest you ask Shining Skull when he gets back from his week long self-imposed exile. He has told us that he was an EXPERT at Iyengar yoga before he became an expert at Ashtanga, so he would know. For sure.

FBL
Guest guest
Jess-

Bhavani is coming here for 2 or 3 days (Kansas City) around Labor Day (I think she's here on August 31st or something...I'm not sure). But if you're interested, as soon as I get more info on the workshop, I could mail it to you.

Lauren
Guest guest
Doesn't Patricia Walden (a top Iyengar practitioner and teacher) run a studio just outside of Boston?
Guest guest
you can try the real thing with Guy Donahaye. (Yoga in the tradition with k p jois. Imagine.)

Montauk aug 25 -31
www.ashtangayogashala.net

It is worthwhile to bookmark some of the teachers website addresses (they appear on the ashtanga website under 'classes' and put yourself on their e-mail list or check back for action regularly). That way one can stay on top of what's happening in the ashtanga world.

Guest guest
are for fools. (Unless taught by Guruji himself, or his blessed grandson, Sharat.) What you need is a regular practice and a decent teacher. You have a great teacher in Peter Sanson who is visiting from Australia/New Zealand/Mysore and teaching in New York at the Patanjali Yoga shala. Just get your ass down to New York City and get into his 11:00 class while he is still here. You'll learn more from him than the many 2nd and 3rd rate teachers proffering inaccurate yogi advice via their sad and useless yoga workshops.

Remember, yoga is not something that you learn in short blasts at yoga workshope from self-professed experts. It is something that you practice daily and incorporate into your life always.

El Senor Pinche Wey, Ole!
