Guest guest
Yes, yes. On the one hand, I watch a room full of people enjoying their bodies, I'm singing the benefits of the practice and enjoying doing the poses in class, and as I watch them I think, Oh I love yoga, I can't wait to go home and practice, then I get home and it's like, I'm supposed to now practice after so much talking? It makes me want it so much more but in a weird way, so much less. I have discovered a lot of new teachers feel this, but how to get past it...that is the challenge.... Guest guest
Guruji says that you should practice before you teach. The words are wise and true.
<<I can't wait to go home and practice, then I get home and it's like, I'm supposed to now practice after so much talking? >>

You post aboves suggests that you are teaching in the wrong order.

Furthermore, if you are teaching other than Ashtanga yoga you might ask yourself why? Do you think you have stumbled on a superior method. Are you so patronizing as to think that the average Jo can't handle it? You are probably not even teaching yoga but a watered down probably useless practice for fat and lazy people to feel relaxed or good about themselves even though they are really lazy, undisciplined and are equally clueless as the supposed "teacher" prattling on platitudes blending new-age babble with a few choice vedanta buzz words. Really, the whole prospect makes me rather ill.

I've heard too many people recently saying how "yoga relaxes me". Well, I tell them that if they want to relax, they should pop a cold bud (or fire one up in a bong--it really does not matter) and sit in front of the television.

Adhere to the guru's teachings and stop parading yourself in front of a class carnivorous lazy starbucks swilling yuppie spiritual wannabes.

Why are you talking so much anyway?

I've said my piece now be off and meditate upon my words of wisdom.

Sr. Pinche Wey
Guest guest
Wow Senor, you sure talk tough on internet chat rooms. You must be a scrawny little hippy in person. How about posting a real picture of yourself instead of hiding behind your guru tough guy?

Scott
