Thanks! That actually seems to make sense. Prior

to the discomfort, I had been slacking from my

practice and had started running again. I think this was a

lethal combination that caused me to lose flexibility

rapidly and create tension in certain muscle

groups.<br><br>Since this injury I have been practicing even less

regularly. My practice seems beneficial to the heel/ankle

area when I do not put any stress on that area; that

would confirm your theory about stretching out the

surrounding areas. For a variation of Adho Mukha Shvanasana,

I have been staying on the balls of my feet and

bending my legs at the knees; this takes all the pressure

of the ankle/heal area.<br><br>Thanks for the

advice. I will definitely focus on stretching out those

leg muscles.
