Guest guest
<we all were raised in and live in a "cult"ure.>

A great observation. I recently got a video (sorry, I'm a video fiend) which kind of explores this idea. It is about Noam Chomsky. I'm embarrassed to say that I had heard of him but did not know much about him. He is a professor of linguistics at M.I.T. and is known as the father of modern linguistics. He has been an outspoken policital activist for decades. Sometimes called "the most important intellectual alive". The video is called "Manufacturing Consent - Noam Chomsky and the Media". It is a two-and-a-half hour documentary about Chomsky covering his whole life and exploring his ideas about the media and democracy. Its on 2 tapes and is a bit pricey. Might be found in a rental store or maybe a library. Can be found on eBay way cheaper than Amazon. This is a life-changer - definitely worth seeing. Chomsky is heavy-duty. There is also a cool website on him: http://www.zmag.org/chomsky

Sorry if a bit off-topic - but seriously - Check out Chomsky!
