Guest guest
Just saw on the astanga.it site that Lino Miele will be holding a workshop in Milan in northern Italy on October 5-7. As it happens, I will be right in Milan myself during that time! Looks like I will have my first workshop, at last!!

Guest guest
HI Tshamoya - Yes, the prospect of joining workshops with Lino Miele in Milan in October makes me feel quite over the moon already. Better anyway than watching Astanga videos or seeing yoga on Germam TV, I guess.

Milan is a kind of second home to me, as I used to live there for almost 20 years (my parents moved from Germany to Italy when I was a toddler still), and I also went to the German school there. I still spend 3 months every year in Milan when I visit my family.

Although not all may agree, it's a beautiful and very cool place - home of Italy's fashion victims, you know. It seems like the workshop is part of an effort to establish Astanga Yoga in Milan, which only some years ago was still almost unknown there; ridiculous enough you might say, considering that Milan is Italy's second largest, richest and most international city. But now an Astanga-Yoga center has been opened, and Lino has started offering workshops there, too.

If all goes well, I'll make some pictures and post them in the photos section of this club. Let's see.
Guest guest
Interesting. - A friend of mine(originally from ROMA where her family still resides) is going to italy in september for a wedding and i was condsidering going along for some yoga. (She laughed when she heard of someone Italian being really big in the yoga scene because that is un-italian according to her.) Accommodation is too costly though.
Yes probably the only way to get yoga to take off in Milan is to make yogaclothes into a fashion satement.
