I don't know where Ithaca is, but there are a number of reputable ashtanga teachers in NYC - it might be worth calling some of them to see if they can recommend anybody.<br><br>On the other hand, if there *isn't* a good asntanga teacher near where you live, and there is a good teacher of some other form of yoga, my view would be that having a good teacher is more important than what particular form of yoga you study, and you would be better off with (say) an iyengar teacher than an ashtanga video.
