Guest guest
<<Add also 2 tablespoons of flax oil (in refrigerator in wholefood store) or
better yet flax/borage (BARLEANS Omega Twin) for all the essential
fatty acids. If you have sufficiebnt GOOD fats in your body you will not
crave bad fatty foods.>>

Another really good oil, if you don't like the taste of flax oil (I didn't when I tried it) is Udo's Choice oil - it's a blend of flax oil and other oils, such as sesame, and others I can't remember, which has the ideal mix of the various kinds of good fats, (omega-3, etc.) which we should be getting. A bit on the expensive side, compared to straight flax oil, but much better tasting. And possibly a superior blend, although I can't really speak to the marginal benefit for the added cost. Lately my near daily breakfast has been thick cut oatmeal, with some Udo's oil and a handful of sunflower seeds mixed in. Yumm...

I may have to look into the spirulina thing. I've heard mixed reviews. (as far as whether people noticed any benefit from taking it.) I'm not really into making smoothies & shakes though, and don't think it'd help the consistency of my oatmeal.

Edie

Guest guest
yes - i do believe i have had that - do not remember the taste. BUT it is the borage oil in the omega twin that is soooo powerful - dr Barry Sears explained all about it in his "Zone" book.
Guest guest
Haven't read much about borage oil, maybe I'll look into it.

The site for info on the Udo's oil is http://www.udoerasmus.com/firstscreen.html, under the products page, there's info on the Udo's oil, all the ingredients, etc. Borage isn't in there, but a lot of other oils are.
