Guest guest
I take classes with Adele and find her to be the best I have found after trying numerous instructors in quite a few places (I travel for my job).

Someone recently told me that Ashtanga yoga attracts lots of Type A personalities, and after reading through this site, I have to agree. I didn't think the purpose of yoga was to be better than others, or to be so set in your thinking that you excluded people because they weren't like you. I go to class to relax and to learn something about my body. I love this form of yoga because it forces me to exert myself to the point of exhaustion and allows me to turn inward and put all that type A personality garbage somewhere else. And I am getting stronger and more flexible and learning how to use my breath.

But to see how competitive this practice is is very off putting.

I am sure some of this is in jest, but not sure how much.
